"Come To The Quiet" - A Day of Prayer, Meditation and Reflection In Community was held at Villa Immaculata House of Prayer in Riverhead, NY, October 16, 2018. I was graced to be the teacher.  

Seventeen like-minded souls met to spend a day in community exploring different devotional methods of deepening  their relationship with God.  We listened to spiritual uplifting music and poetry, prayed, opened our hearts to each other, practiced yoga, strolled the grounds overlooking the majestic Long Island Sound, listened to the birds, shared meals and conversations, cried, laughed, looked deeply into each other eyes and ..... we learned to meditate!  

It was a deeply rewarding experience of community, renewal of faith, heart opening, inspiration, courage and grace.   

I AM deeply grateful to Sister Mary Ronald and Sister Barbara for trusting in me to lead this retreat.

If you find you are restless or unable to sit peacefully, it’s because you have not established yourself fully in the NOW. 

Remember, the body is always in the now.  The mind wanders. All you need to do is bring your attention to your in breath and your out breath. Watch your breath moving in and out. Smile to it.  Each moment then becomes nourishing and healing. 

Being “aware” that you are breathing means you are really here!  

Pause a few moments today to just be.  Watch and just be with your breath. Dwell here in the peace and freedom of your miraculous breath. 

Be here now.

Louise Hay and Wayne Dyer introduced me to Abraham.  Wayne would often say that he thought Abraham was the wisest teacher walking the path in this lifetime.  One of his greatest gifts he said was the privilege to sit with Esther and ask Abraham questions.  I know many of you are students of their work and if not, here is a powerful sample.

"Many people are approaching life from the flawed premise that if they work hard and struggle long and pay a big enough price, they will then be rewarded with financial well-being. And since they do not realize that in their struggle they are denying themselves alignment with the abundance they seek, when the abundance does not come, they attribute it to luck or favoritism that is being directed away from them and toward another.

But there is no luck or favoritism.  Are you allowing or resisting, letting in or keeping out the abundance you deserve?
