Holiday Attitude Adjustment

#selflovechallenge

The TRUE Spirit of this holiday season is one of love, joy, peace and happiness. Ultimately, how our holidays unfold depends so much on our attitudes.

Remember when we were kids and our childlike attitude was, “I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait to see all the lights and the decorations in the stores and in our neighborhoods!” And now, a few short years later, we find ourselves lost in thought, rushing right by the lights and decorations, on autopilot missing precious, miraculous present moments of love, joy, peace and happiness.

How about we slow down a bit, introduce a pattern interrupt breath a few times today and remember as we breathe to witness the breath. This will slow the world coming at us AND slow down our responses. This “time in” will also connect us fully to the present moment and stop the hormonal and chemical surge.

The Spirit of this season rebirths our opportunity to connect more fully to love and peace and happiness once again – and to share those gifts with each other.

I'm going to approach the holidays with a sense of joyful anticipation and wonder, just like I did when I was a child
